This booklet provides general information on how to achieve organic certification status from several perspectives: converting a conventional vineyard; planning a new vineyard for future conversion to an organic system; using organic principles from the very beginning. Specific practices included are: soil preparation for planting, vineyard layout and trellis design, spacing irrigation, planting stock, fertilisers, compost, cover crops, weed control, insect pest control and winemaking.
