Abstract: This DVD shows how salinity increases when native vegetation is cleared from a catchment area. It shows how to overcome the problem by starting at the top of the catchment or off-site management strategies, using banks, trees or planting crops with deep roots or heavy water use. On site management strategies include surface drains, deep drains and salt tolerant plants.
