An extension program to alert farmers to the profit gains to be made from early grass removal in pastures from higher wheat yields and protein contents was commenced in the central wheatbelt of Western Australia.This was based on a series of experiments and paddock-size demonstrations where grasses were removed from pasture in late winter.
