The research outcomes from this project indicate that farming systems based on annual medics in the low rainfall wheatbelt are viable and that pasture/crop rotations can be reasonably flexible to cope with changing economic circumstances. The 1:1 pasture:crop rotation is still considered to be the benchmark for comparing different systems.
