Abstract: "The author carried out research into postharvest horticulture for 50 years for the NSW Department of Agriculture, the CSIRO Division of Food Research and the University of NSW. The volume summarises 100 peer reviewed scientific papers that resulted from studies in all Australiastates, New Zealand, the Phillipines, PNG and China. A wide range of fruits were studied including cold climate, sub-tropical and tropical fruits. The author also made a number of recommendations patricularly encouraging researchers to commercialise their discoveries for the good of the planet." ...the author.
