Abstract: The study quantifies the physical extent and economic significance of waterlogging on crop and pasture production in the Upper Great Southern Region of Western Australia by : (i) finding out which parts of the landscape are most susceptible to waterlogging ; (ii) estimating the effect of waterlogging on crop production from rainfall and crop statistics; and (iii) developing remote sensing methods of mapping waterlogging.
