Experiments to measure the effect of grazing on seed yield have shown that Medicago murex seed yields were increased by grazing up to the commencement of flowering. Medicago polymorpha seed yields did not respond positively to pre flowering grazing. Heavy grazing throughout flowering reduced seed yields of the aerial seeding murex and polymorpha medics.
