Monitoring sheep, weaners and others, is not a new practice. Monitoring means different things to different people, but most people who monitor sheep would agree that, at least, it entails the regular recording, for the same group of sheep, of body weights and husbandry practices. Additional records may include condition scores, details of feed intake (such as pasture or stubble measurements, feed and supplementary feed analyses), parasite burdens (faecal egg counts or total worm counts), wool growth and
l parasites in young sheep in this semi-arid environment. There were two secondary aims: to provide an understanding of the common sheep husbandry practices in this climate and farming system (wheat-sheep), and to produce a graph showing target monthly
