The aim of the barley agronomy and industry development project in Western Australia was to support the production of high yielding and high quality barley in Western Australia by providing production packages for alternative malting varieties to Stirling, and those for specialised management or end uses; statewide technology transfer for growers, to improve the quantity, quality and consistency of barley for malting and brewing; and physiological research to improve grain size and grain colour (weather sining)
