Three significant leaf spot diseases occur on wheat in Western Australia. They are Septoria nodorum blotch (Phaeosphaeria nodorum), yellow spot (Pyrenophora tritici-repentis) and Septoria tritici blotch (Mycosphaerella graminicola). Two types of wheat rusts occur in Western Australia - stem rust (Puccinia graminis f. sp. tritici) and leaf rust (Puccinia triticina).
