Water bodies for aquaculture range from farm dams and ponds, natural water bodies (for cage culture) to tank systems. With increasing spread of groundwater salinity there may be opportunity for farmers and commercial operators to utilise these water bodies as a resource to ameliorate the cost of lowering the saline groundwater level.
