Abstract: (En)
This project aimed to produce a canola variety through selection of plants for the short season environments of Western Australia. Plants were selected from Victorian and New South Wales material for increased yield, oil and protein and blackleg tolerance. Five new canola varieties with early maturity and increased seed yields of between 8 and 30 per cent were released commercially after being tested in the interstate variety trials.
