The US Public Health and Security and Bioterrorism and Response Act 2002 or Bioterrorism Act requires that all exporters of food and beverages to the US, whether for human or animal consumption, must comply with its requirements by 12 December 2003. This Farmnote covers this process including : registration of facilities and exempted factilities; maintenance and inspection of records; prior notice to import - food requiring notice, food exempt from notice and information required on prior notice.
