Abstract: On the area surveyed, five land systems were identified, described and mapped. The most useful land forms are those carrying perennial shrubs on soils derived from basic rocks, lakes or breakaways (Arnold, Flood Out, Breakaway Land Systems and the Irwin Hills areas), and spinifex pastures. On the area fenced for sheep, a carrying capacity of 3700 sheep has been suggested.
