"The three elements phosphorus, copper and zinc were shown to have good residual values for crop production on a range of soils throughout the Western Australian cropping region. From a total of 46 trials, a significant yield response was only obtained once due to the adequacy of phosphorus, copper and zinc from residual fertiliser applied and mixed through the topsoil in the old cropping system.
