An adverse start to the 1985 grain growing season increased concern about farmers' abilities to service debt and their demand for credit in 1986. To determine farmers' debt servicing abilities, their demand for credit and assistance requirements, a joint Primary Industry Association and Western Australian Department of Agriculture survey of grain growers was initiated.
