The El Nino-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) is a global scale ocean/atmosphere phenomenon involving a large see-saw in air pressure between the Pacific and Indo-Australian regions. One way to produce ENSO outlooks is to find years with historical pressure and sea surface temperature patterns similar to those experienced recently.
