This DVD looks at handling and storing apples to ensure they reach the market in top quality condition. Postharvest treatments should be applied quickly to prevent postharvest disorders. Quality control standards should be adhered to during sorting, processing and packing. This has to be done on a self-monitoring basis. Apples need to be handled with care at all times. Finally, apples to be stored in controlled atmosphere rooms which must be monitored regularly for uniform conditions.
