375 randomly selected members of the staff of the Department of Agriculture, Western Australia, were asked a variety of questions in a mail survey aimed at determining their attitudes to indicators of organizational health. The adequacy of training within the Department was also assessed through the survey. Respondents indicated that the most important factors to them in working for the Department of Agriculture are a feeling of achievement, challenging work, the opportunity to use idea, and security.
