For each sampling time, there were close relationships between yield and P concentration in tissue that gave a good indication of the current P status of the plants. However, for the same site and plant species, the relationship differed for different harvests within and between years. Also for the same sampling time and site, the relationship usually differed for different plant species, but not for different fertilizer types.
