Techniques for growing species of annual medic will be basically the same whether bulking up seed or growing a new collection from scratch. However, growing a new collection does require far greater attention to detail and may entail several more steps in the overall process to obtain the high degree of accuracy of selection and purity of the finished product. The procedures used in the Department of Agriculture of Western Australia for growing a new collection of medic are described.
