Abstract:

The aim of the project was to develop a technique of nitrogen removal based on the municipal nitrification/denitrification technique commonly used in the treatment of municipal sewage. The effectiveness of this method was demonstrated in a series of laboratory trials which used four groups of "mini-lagoons", with three 20L lagoons arranged in series within each group.
