A large rabbit population was successfully controlled using pindone oat bait both in bait trails and in bait stations. A 95 per cent reduction in the rabbit population was achieved over the treated area. The benefits of a flexible approach to baiting are indicated by the success of (a) bait stations; (b) barrier fencing; and (c) the substitution of a car wheel for the cutting disc on the baitlayer.
