The Jerdacuttup catchment on the south coast of Western Australia has a number of significant land degradation problems. A soil-landform map of the catchment was produced at a scale of 1:50,000. The map units are a combination of landform and soil type. A land capability assessment was undertaken for five land uses; improved annual pastures, perennial pastures, lucerne, cereal cropping and lupins, using a five class classification. The catchment is dominated by shallow to moderately deep, gravelly duplex
