The project had the following objectives: i) to survey the major seed potato stocks and the subsequent ware and processing crops for their virus content; ii) to evaluate and type virus strains detected; iii) to conduct field exposure trials with potato leafroll virus (PLRV) to determine relative degeneration rates amongst important potato cultivars; iv) to investigate the nature of PLRV resistance(s) found in selected cultivars; and v) to determine the interacting effect of pre-infection with potato virus
