Ryegrass populations were collected from 62 paddocks in different regions of the Western Australian wheatbelt. These populations were screened in the glasshouse for resistance to four major groups of selective herbicides. Results obtained were quite alarming and showed that about 76 per cent of the populations had some level of resistance to one or more of the major groups other than the triazines.
