The project employed an officer to liaise with LCDs and other land users to ascertain their goals, strategies and aspirations towards better land care, and to encourage the formation of specific programmes. Following this, the project officer was responsible for ensuring that the agreed programmes were adequately planned, funded, supported, implemented and reported.
