Agriculture Western Australia is seeking to increase the land use planning systems contribution to assisting sustainable rural and industry development. Moving towards a more proactive involvement with the land use planning system will help achieve the agency's objectives. Agency officers require knowledge of the land use planning system and approached to interacting with this system to achieve the agency's objectives. This publication outlines and explains the rural land use planning system for agency of rces and conditions required for sustainable rural development. They then need to communicate these needs to the land use planning system and ensure that they are incorporated into land use planning documents. This needs to be done before or during the
nd use planning documents and legislation that are relevant to their region and ensure that the objectives for agriculture and sustainable rural development are addressed during the processes of land use change and subdivision.
