Practical integrated disease management packages were developed for control of two aphid-borne virus diseases of narrow-leafed lupins, cucumber mosaic (CMV) and bean yellow mosaic (BYMV), and were extended to growers. The control strategies included were selected following field experiments in 1994-6 at different sites in the WA wheatbelt. The field experiments showed that in high yielding crops application of a newer generation pyrethroid insecticide can sometimes reduce CMV spread and increase grain yie
