The aim of this work was to measure the effect of one grazing tactic, of intensive grazing, and pest control on pasture growth and composition, pest populations and animal productivity. Grazing to 1.4 t DM/ha reduced redlegged earth mite and other pasture pests to levels similar to those achieved with insecticides.
