Abstract: (En)
Aphids are serious pests of canola and lupin crops in Western Australia (WA). They can cause feeding damage and transmit viruses that can severely reduce yields in lupins. In canola they have the potential to reduce yields, especially in low rainfall zones, but aphid-transmitted viruses have not been found to be a problem in Western Australia. This report presents the results of trials which evaluated Crop Care products Pirimor (pirimicarb) and Fastac (alpha-cypermethrin) against aphids infesting lupin
in WA at 500g-1000g/ha) and to ascertain the efficacy of Fastac and Pirimor against aphids in narrow-leafed lupins. Other commercially available chemicals were also included in the trials as a standard comparison.
