The search for innovative alternative methods for managing grazing animal movement has attracted a great deal of interest because of its proven potential to protect fragile vegetation and increase productivity. Driven primarily by prototype technology developed and tested in North America, Agriculture Western Australia , in collaboration with the Land and Water Resource Research and Development Corporation and Environment Australia (Biodiversity Group) commissioned this study to provide a preliminary indition of the feasibility of developing virtual fencing technology in Australia.
