The condition of the vegetation in the pastoral rangeland in Western Australia is monitored over time using data collected from permanent ground-based sites. The Western Australian Rangeland Monitoring System (WARMS) has been operative since 1984, and an expected total of 1700 sites will be in place on over 470 pastoral leases by the year 2000. This project has assisted with the installation of some of the WARMS monitoring sites and has enabled the collation of this monitoring data into a workable databas
